How to activate your Microsoft Exchange account on your Android Phone
This hub will help you get your Android phone configured with your Microsoft Exchange account. Here are the settings that you will need to activate your Exchange account on your Android phone.
- User name
- Password
- Domain
- Server
- Microsoft Exchange Active Sync should be provisioned to your account
If you don’t know the settings mentioned above, you can contact your e-mail administrator or e-mail provider hosting your Microsoft Exchange e-mail service to get these settings. Now once you have the settings needed, you can start activating Android phone with your account. Here are the steps:
- From the home screen, touch the Application tab (located at the bottom of the page)
- Then tap on Email
- Then on the next screen put in your complete e-mail address, and your password then Next
- Tap on Exchange account
- Enter the Exchange server settings:
- Domain\username – try the format or user the complete e-mail address whichever will work
- Password – your password to your e-mail
- Exchange server – server address will depended on what your e-mail provider is using
- Enable Use secure connection (SSL) and Accept all SSL certificates , then click on Next
- Touch your desired frequency
- Tap on the Amount to synchronize
- Tap your desired amount, and then tap Next
- Tap the desired Account options then
tap Next
The account option is enabled if a green check mark is present. Enabled the settings you need.- Send email from this account by default.
- Notify me when email arrives.
- Sync contacts from this account.
- Enter you desired Account name¸ and Outgoing message name then tap Next. And you are done.
