How to enable a security on your Dlink DSL-G604T
Now if you have checked my previous hubs I have a similar post. But now I am creating a new hub for this brand to make it fair on all of the brands that create these products. If you are energetic enough you can also find this step on your product manual. But what I have here is also the same steps with the same result. So let's get it on!
- You need to access the setup page of your device for you to be able to enable the wireless security. And we are going to enable a WPA security one of the secured type of security. And as I always suggesting do this step on a computer directly connected or wired to the router. To access the setup page of the router, Type in http:// followed by the default IP address, 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of the browser. A user name and password screen will pop up just type admin on both username and password field. This is the default username and password.
- Now on the setup page click on the tab at the top that says Setup. Now once you are in the setup screen you can click on the tab on the left hand side that says Wireless. Now on your wireless page look for Security, put a dot on WPA. Now on the same screen put a dot on PSK (Pre-Shared Key) String. After selecting the PSK (Pre-Shared Key) String you will see an empty box next to it. Inside the box you can put the password that you want to use to secure the network. The password can be an alphanumeric value 1-63 characters in length. I recommend that the longer the password the better (8 character minimum). And then click on Apply. And that's it we are done. You network is now secured. If you will reconnect to the network you will now be asked for a network key.
I hope this has been informative and helpful to you.

Thanks a lot! It works!! I went to IP address http://10.1.1.1 instead. After I click APPLY a few times, nothing much happened, it still shows the same page so I went through the wizard setup and resave at the end of it. After that, all is sweet!
Awesome, I had to follow the same process as Becks. This was however one of the easiest how to do's that I have used.
