Missing e-mails?
Do you own an e-mail account? Did you wake up one day, and you check your inbox cleaned up or your tons of mails are gone missing? This hub might be able to help figure out might have happened.
First of all, this incident only happens to e-mail users who access their account via web client or what we call us “web mail”. What will cause this such irritating incident? There is only one cause for this, you have set up your account with POP3 access in an e-mail client like Microsoft Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook 2007, Microsoft Outlook 2003, Thunderbird, Mac Mail, and the likes. You might be asking why setting up your account with POP3 access can cause this. There is nothing wrong with POP3 access, it is working fine and that is how it works. It will actually download all for your mails to your e-mail client, delete all mails on the server then close the connection. This is also the main reason why you will find your mails on the server in your trash folder.
I know that any of you e-mail users don’t want this. Luckily, these e-mail clients have an option to leave a copy of your messages on the server. You can click the links below to get the instructions on how to enable this feature in your e-mail client.
- Microsoft Outlook Express
- Microsoft Outlook 2007
- Microsoft Outlook 2003
